Chloe | Sophomore at The University of Georgia
Hi! I'm Chloe, a hopeful future occupational therapist studying psychology at the University of Georgia. I came to this school as an out-of-state student knowing no one, and although that came with a unique set of challenges, it was the best decision I ever made. I firmly believe my university is the best in the country, and our college town is one of the best in the world. I enjoy being active, talking to new people, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants. I'm sushi's #1 fan, and my calendar is my best friend. I'd love to show you my home-away-from-home and give you a peek into a student's life at UGA!

Describe your college experience
I never expected to go out of state for college but my gut told me that UGA was the place for me and I've never looked back. I was the only person from my graduating class to come to Georgia, so the transition to college life was scary and difficult at first, but ultimately rewarding and the most amazing opportunity for growth. During my time at UGA, I have met friends that I can connect with regardless of our diverse backgrounds. I have taken classes that have pushed me out of my comfort zone and had such unique experiences that only Georgia has to offer.
Tip for future students
My biggest tip for future students would be to embrace the uncomfortable! You know you're growing when you're stretching yourself to try new things and go out of your comfort zone. Some of the experiences that feel the most intimidating can end up being the most rewarding and memorable.
Favorite class
I took Dance Appreciation second semester of my freshman year and it was the most fun class! It was an amazing way to meet new people and get out of my shell. Our professor was so knowledgeable and funny, I would always look forward to this class!
Career goals
After college, I hope to be accepted into a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program. Ideally, after graduating, I would like to work in a hospital setting.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night in Athens starts with an evening walk on Milledge Avenue. Me and my friends would walk to Marker 7 Coastal Grill and I would get the fish tacos. After, we would go to Jeni's for ice cream. To end the night me and my roommates would go back to our house and watch Dancing with the Stars.
High school or secondary school
Glen Allen High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the koi pond that's hidden in the Founders Garden! I found it while exploring campus on a walk one day. Now, I'll go there if I'm in need of some peace and quiet or a relaxing place to sit and rest.
