Describe your college experience
Thus far, my college experience has been well involved. The campus offers a plethora of opportunities to get involved, whether it's academically or recreationally. The University has presented me with opportunities I have never had outside of academics, such as brand deals, opportunities to connect with companies for internships, and a healthy social experience.
Tip for future students
A quick tip for future students: it is easy to feel overwhelmed by the overflow of academic, extracurricular, and social life. However, if your academics slip, that is typically where everything else slowly follows. I recommend building a rapport with your professors and checking out campus support centers that address whatever you need. This can range from academic centers, like the writing center, to health facilities.
Favorite class
Thus far, my favorite class has been English 103: Advanced Composition. I took this class during my first semester, and it turned out to be my favorite because of its components, such as textual analysis and the opportunity to be more expressive and elaborate in my essays. It was truly an enlightening class as an English minor and literary enthusiast. My professor, Noah Powers, also made it truly enjoyable.
Career goals
After college, I plan to pursue grad school through the capstone law program. I am interested in working for big law firms or even for small-time firms to build a strong reputation and experience.
Ideal way to spend a free night
As a freshman, definitely a free night during the school week can be so relaxing. Whether it's staying in your room and doing some rearranging, hanging out with friends at the student center, or even going out on a Friday night.
