Business & Tech student showing you the real side of Rutgers!

Hi! I’m Vivaan, a Finance and Supply Chain major here at Rutgers Business School. I’m originally from New Jersey, and when I’m not in class, you’ll usually find me working on startup ideas like my habit-tracking platform, chalked up at the climbing gym, or catching a soccer match with friends.   Moving into college and navigating a massive campus can feel overwhelming at first, but I’ve loved discovering everything Rutgers has to offer, from the best high-energy study nooks to the local spots that make this place feel like home.   I’d love to show you around, give you the honest inside scoop on academics and student life, share tips on getting involved early, and answer any questions you have about finding your stride here. Looking forward to meeting you!

Describe your college experience

Transitioning to Rutgers Business School was an exciting step, and my experience so far has been incredible. Balancing a 4.0 GPA in Finance and Supply Chain with hands-on projects like co-founding Habit Tally and serving as Warden of Phi Delta Theta has made campus life both challenging and incredibly rewarding.

Tip for future students

Get involved on campus early, but don't overcommit. Focus on a few key organizations where you can make a real impact. Also, make an effort to get to know your professors because a great teacher can turn an introductory class into your favorite subject.

Favorite class

Intro to Supply Chain. My professor made the material super engaging and brought the real-world concepts to life.

Career goals

I'm focused on entrepreneurship. After launching Habit Tally, I realized I love the challenge of turning early-stage ideas into scalable businesses that make an impact.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Unwinding with friends, catching a football match, or playing a casual game of poker. If I have some extra downtime, I love staying active with the Rutgers Rec Center or relaxing while working on a fun side project or coding.

High school or secondary school

Favorite spot on campus

The yard on College Ave because it's the central hub of campus life, perfect for catching up with friends, relaxing between classes, or grabbing a bite to eat. Honegyrow is a must have...
