Hi! I'm a 2026 graduate from Brown University and a local of the Providence area. After spending much of my life in and around Providence, I've developed a deep appreciation for the city and its community. I loved helping students and visitors navigate Brown's campus while I was a student and am excited to continue sharing my recommendations over the summer before I leave for graduate school.

Describe your college experience

I absolutely loved every part of my experience at Brown. Brown is such a vibrant, welcoming, and intellectually curious community. The people, opportunities, and traditions make it a truly unique school and have led me to visit places and meet people I otherwise wouldn't have had the chance to meet. My time at Brown challenged me but also helped me learn a lot about myself and what I am most passionate about. I'm excited to move to New Haven to complete graduate school at Yale, but it is certainly bittersweet to be leaving such an amazing school and community.

Tip for future students

Talk to anyone and everyone. Some of the most meaningful parts of my time at Brown came from experiences with people who I never thought I would meet. Brown is full of incredibly interesting people, and you are consistently surrounded by those who only want to see you succeed. The more open and curious you are, the more you'll get out of your time here.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Law and Religion. While this course isn't offered at Brown anymore, it was one that had a profound impact on me. The course challenged me to think about law, ethics, and society in new ways and pushed me to engage seriously with perspectives different from my own. It demonstrated how deeply legal systems are intertwined with cultural and religious traditions and encouraged students to understand how to bridge the divides between our differences. This class was one of my most memorable and has helped me enter the world with greater understanding of how we can all better understand each other to work together.

Career goals

I will pursue my MPH at Yale this fall and afterwards attend law school. I'd like to work for an international development agency at some point, working at the intersection of public health and the environment. However, I'd like to work with directly impacted communities to not only help them but also to learn from them so that we may work together to approach their problems with shared understandings and insight to enhance long-term adaptation and resilience.

Ideal way to spend a free night

As an underclassman, one of the best ways to spend a free evening was watching a movie at Avon with friends and grabbing food on Thayer Street. Providence has a very vibrant food scene, both on Thayer Street, in Fox Point, and Downtown. As a senior, my ideal night looked a little different and sometimes meant meeting friends at Grad Center Bar or another local bar. We would often bar hop and then go back to someone's house, but more than anything, these more recent nights were about spending time together before graduation.
