Describe your college experience
At first the transition to college was a little overwhelming, and I struggled being in a new environment but soon learned that is part of what makes college so exciting. Once I found my rhythm, I really started to enjoy life here in Columbia and discovered a lot about my interest and passions.
Tip for future students
Like anything it takes time to find your place so go slow and take time to figure out where you feel most at home.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been environmental ethics. I loved. how it combined environmental science, which I was. already. interested in, with philosophy, which became a new interest for me. The professor's passion for the subject and for teaching made the class even more enjoyable and engaging.
Career goals
I hope to continue my education in graduate school. My dream job is to become a professor so I can both conduct research and share my passions with students through teaching.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal night. would probably include a little shopping, maybe a workout at the gym, and definitely grabbing a Pickleman's sandwich on the way home. I'd finish the night watching a rom-com with my roommates while eating some ice cream.
