Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was a big adjustment, but it's helped me become much more independent and confident. I've enjoyed meeting people through clubs, balancing challenging science courses, and gaining work experience while in school. UCSC has given me opportunities to grow academically and personally, and I've learned how to manage my time while still making room for friendships and activities I enjoy.
Tip for future students
Don't be afraid to get involved early. Join clubs, introduce yourself to classmates, and attend campus events, even if it feels outside your comfort zone. Building a community makes college much more enjoyable, and asking for help from professors or TAs can make a huge difference in difficult classes.
Favorite class
Organic Chemistry has been one of my favorite classes because it challenged me to think visually and solve problems in a new way. It was difficult but very rewarding.
Career goals
I'm currently pursuing a career in dentistry so hopefully dental school.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Going over to a friend's house to hangout, play games, or just talk.
High school or secondary school
Fountain Valley High School
Favorite spot on campus
East field. The field is really nice, and it's right next to the weightlifting gym/basketball gym, and tennis courts.
