First-year with perfect knowledge of campus

Hello, I'm William, a member of the Class of 2030 with an interest in a plethora of areas. I participate in the club roundnet team and recently joined an a cappella group. I arrived uncertain about my academic path, so I particularly enjoy helping prospective students see how Dartmouth's flexibility can work in their favor.

Describe your college experience

Before arriving, I worried that Dartmouth would be too difficult for me and I would have difficulty adjusting. In reality, I have thrived in only a few months and truly learned how to make the best of my college experience. I've realized that everyone is really personable and invested in the community.

Tip for future students

Take some time to enjoy the campus! It is easy to fall into a cycle of working, sleeping, and going to class but there is so much here!

Favorite class

Religion 1.01 is my favorite class so far because it challenges me to think critically, digest difficult readings, and be an active participant in class.

Career goals

I hope to have some sort of professional experience before entering possibly a graduate program or something to compliment my professional experience.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Free nights are best spent with friends and the occasional group study session. Often that means dinner and hanging out for a good amount of time before finally deciding we should sutdy.

High school or secondary school

Breck High School

Favorite spot on campus

Pine Park is my favorite spot. I often go on runs there in the morning and find it very easy to relax and enjoy nature there.

Meeting point
