Curious Freshman exploring everything Dartmouth has to offer
Hey, I'm Ethan, a '30 thinking about History Science. I sing in the Dartmouth Aires, go to Hillel most Fridays, and love going on DOC adventures and spending time outdoors. Ask me about Dartmouth academics, dorm life, social scence, or how cold it actually gets (I'll know soon).

Describe your college experience
In short, its incredible. In longer terms, the transition has felt like entering a magical bubble where everything works perfectly. Every single person here is incredibly compassionate and I am super busy but in the best way possible. Happy to share any and all of my honest thoughts and experiences.
Tip for future students
Go to that random talk or presentation because you might find your new passion. At worst, you'll be bored.
Favorite class
The History of Happiness has been my favorite class because it examines a seemingly mundane and simple concept with a very unique historical lens. I have learned that happiness was not always viewed as something easily obtainable and heavily varied across different religions and wisdom traditions.
Career goals
Anything from education to consulting. The beauty of Dartmouth is that my questioning is embraced.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Hanging out in friends dorm rooms before bouncing to Late-Night at FOCO or going on a Woccom. There's beauty in this simplicity.
High school or secondary school
Hingham High School
Favorite spot on campus
The Tower Room in Baker-Berry Library. Big leather chairs, huge windows, total silence, Hogwarts vibe. I get more done there in two hours than anywhere else in a whole day.
