Hey I'm Kiera! I'm a junior nursing major who loves Rutgers for all it has to offer. No matter what campus I'm on (lol there's a lot), I find a great place to relax, hang with friends, or catch up on schoolwork. There's nothing I love more than working hard and playing hard, what college should be all about! Describe your college experience

My transition into college wasn't the easiest; I had a few significant personal issues during my first year of school. I did well academically, but felt I was lacking socially, which is such an important part of college for many. However, I found my people in year two, somewhat spontaneously. I had an amazing sophomore year and am loving my junior year so far. I enjoy balancing school, work, exercise, and time with friends!

Tip for future students

Don't be afraid to put yourself out there! Sometimes it's scary to say "yes" to things, but college really is the time to do that. Also, it's so normal not to have the best time when everyone says you should. We all struggle, just some more outwardly than others.

Favorite class

Gender, Race, and Sexuality. It was so interesting to learn about myself as we dove into how these dimensions of society affect individuals.

Career goals

I hope to become a Registered Nurse, maybe even a Nurse Practitioner. Honestly I'm not entirely sure on the details, but I know I want to live by the beach and raise a family when I'm ready!

Just watching TV and playing games with my roommates. We can have the best time just being together.
