Student, traveler, gym-observer, and occasional comedian.

Hey! I’m Kaden, a student at BYU who loves meeting new people, trying new things, and making the most out of the college experience. I’m currently exploring my interests in business and manufacturing while balancing school, work, and everything that comes with being a college student. I’m originally from Utah and have had some pretty unique experiences that have shaped who I am, including serving a mission in Bulgaria. I love being outdoors, traveling, staying active, and spending time with friends. One of my favorite things about BYU is the people and the opportunities to make unique stellar memories. I’m excited to be a campus tour guide because I want to give prospective students a genuine look at what life at BYU is actually like—not just the buildings and classrooms, but the people, experiences, and little things that make being a student here special. I’m looking forward to meeting you and showing you around!

Clubs, organizations & involvement

One of the best ways I have been able to get involved is by attending sporting events. Getting a ROC pass and then going to events leads towards some of the most fun. Other fun ways to stay involved is to just hangout in the WILK there is always something happening there. I am in the Film photography and Rock Climbing clubs

Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was a big understanding that I am responsible for everything for myself. It caused me to grow in scheduling my life and making decisions based on what can benefit me the most. The greatest part is I have also been able to see that having fun and joy is something that I can choose to always have in my life.

Tip for future students

If you want to meet people and make new friends, you are going to need to take the initiative. It isn't like elementary school at the playground where everything is just set up for you. In college you need to be the one to reach out.

Favorite class

Diamonds and Gems, I have a large fascination of crystals and gemstones and this class gave me the coolest opportunity to touch and learn about them. We did many fun lab experiences where we would ID gemstones and grade diamonds. Overall was an amazing experience.

Career goals

My goal is to start my own manufacturing business making snow skis.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love when I can just meet up with my friends and go on a random side quest. Any type of adventure makes me excited.

Favorite spot on campus

The Library is my favorite place on campus. I say this because it is first a very pretty building but then it is my favorite place to just hangout. It is the best place if you want to lock in an study by yourself. But it is also the best place that if you want to meet up and work as a study group.

Meeting point

Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
