I'm a biological sciences major on the pre-health track to become a PA or CRNA.
Hi, I’m Gabriella Ishak, a first-year Biological Sciences student at Rutgers–New Brunswick. I’m interested in healthcare, and I’ve enjoyed meeting people and finding my way around campus during my first semester. I’d love to help prospective students and their families feel more comfortable as they explore Rutgers. I’m an Eagle Scout, and in high school I held leadership roles in my troop and played flag football. I’ve also worked in a physical therapy office, where I learned to communicate with people of different ages. I’d bring those experiences, along with my perspective as a new student, to each tour.

Describe your college experience
My transition into college has been amazing. Rutgers was very helpful in making sure that I have the best education here. They are always on top of things and make sure that you have a successful college career.
Tip for future students
For any future students, I recommend starting the college application process early. You don't want to be scrambling at the last minute to apply to colleges and you want to make sure that your application is the best it can be.
Favorite class
So far my favorite class has been my biology class because its super interesting to learn about what's going on inside your body and how they all work together to allow your body to function.
Career goals
After college, I hope to go to PA school or nursing school to become a CRNA.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love spending a free night by hanging out with my family and friends and making new memories.
