Outgoing Econ/Business student who loves people.
Hey! I'm Marcus Idiart, an Economic/Business student here at BYU. I love what I am learning and am excited to apply for the BYU Law School when I graduate. I have been an avid lifelong BYU fan so this place feelings like home. You will often find me studying at the Library or out and about on campus talking to different people I know. If it is after class hours you could also find me on the basketball court or soccer field participating in every intramural sport possible. One of my favorite parts of BYU are all of the different events that happen on a weekly basis. There is never a shortage of fun and exciting oppurtinies to live the BYU experience and build lasting relationships. I have lots of family members here at BYU which has been a wonderful oppurtinity to grow even closer to my loved ones.

Describe your college experience
I have absolutely loved my college experience at BYU. I love attending sporting events, clubs, devotionals, and different activites where I can meet other students and build strong relationships. I have met so many amazing people and built relationships that will last throughout the eternities. I have been able to focus on my education as well and have had amazing experiences with different professors and have so much love and excitement for BYU. I met my fiance, soon to be wife, here at BYU, which is the greatest blessing I could have asked for.
Tip for future students
My tip for future students is to always choose to be social. You never know how you will meet or how you can impact someone's life. Looking for oppurtunities to make friends or be a friend to another student is the best way to truly enjoy your time at BYU.
Favorite class
Econ 110 because it was a large and interactive class. We were given ample oppurtunity to problem solve and think about world-wide issues. I came to better understand different markets and what effects certain resources or ideas have on the economy.
Career goals
I hope to attend BYU Law School and then become a partner at a Personal Injury Law Firm.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love to spend a free night with my fiance and our friends. We love to attend any ward acitivity or on campus event. We also love to organize fun group functions where we can meet new friends and spend time with people we love.
High school or secondary school
Crater High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the Marriot Center, because it is the first place I ever went to at BYU. I loved coming to the sports camps as a kid and did the BYU basketball camp and fell in love with the Marriot Center. I have had multiple different experiences there. I have had spiritual, enlightening, and uplifting experiences, while listening to leaders of the Lord's true church. I have felt pure excitement and adrenaline watching AJ Dybantsa and the men's/women's basketball teams. I have also been facinated watching my fiance's cousin compete in the US National Amateur DanceSport Championships at the Marriot Center.
