Caffeine loving Psychology major who knows the best coffee on campus!
Hi! I'm Iulia, a new Psychology major! I love to sleep in, make my breakfast in the morning, and I need to have at least a little caffeine at some point in my day. You can catch me at some point in the day on a walk around College Ave or Cook/Doug! I love to enjoy the scenery around me, and taking a walk with my airpods in is a way I decompress after a long and stressful day. Sometimes I'll be by myself, but sometimes you'll catch me with some of my friends. We're probably the loudest ones nearby, usually saying one of our catchphrases or just obnoxiously laughing. I would love to show you some of my study spots, my favorite places to be a foodie, and hidden gems! I'm also happy to answer any questions you have: greek life, clubs, academics, dorm life, anything! I look forward to seeing you!

Clubs, organizations & involvement
Right now, I'm actively looking to join more clubs. Last year I took the year to myself to see how I would manage my time, and now this year, because I know myself and how I deal with things, I'm looking to join some. Right now, I am a part of the Seeing Eye Dog Club, and I'm actively applying to jobs! Otherwise, I have gone to the offered workout classes on campus; I was a very active Pilates member last year.

Describe your college experience
My transition to college was fairly smooth. Moving in as a freshman was easy, and I was lucky enough to be welcomed into an amazing community within my freshman-year dorm. I made amazing friends, created an infinite amount of memories, and I always wish I could go back. I was super fortunate to have a smooth transition!
Tip for future students
I wish I knew that it's okay to be unsure. When I came in, I was a nursing student, and everything I worked towards in high school was science- and medical-related. But this year, I completely changed my major, leaving behind my dream of being a nurse to prioritize myself and my mental health. I was freaking out, wondering what I was going to do with my future career, but honestly, I realized that I'm only 19 years old. I have so much time to figure out what to do, and it's okay to change your mind! Prioritize yourself!
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has to have been Theater Appreciation. It was super laid-back, the professor was amazing, and my personal favorite part was the fact that we were able to go see real shows, including one on Broadway! I love theater, so this allowed me to learn more about the theater world, as well as go see shows which, for me, was the best of both worlds.
Career goals
I have a couple of options right now, but right now I want to either go into special education as a teacher, look into child development, or gain office experience. I'm flexible with what my future holds!
Ideal way to spend a free night
If I had a free night, I would definitely spend it with my friends. I wouldn't necessarily go out to a party, but I would definitely hang around with them! We'd watch a movie, grab some food, and have a deep conversation. I love spending quality time with my friends and building my relationship with them.

Favorite spot on campus
I think my favorite spot on campus has to be The Yard on College Ave. There's always a good atmosphere, many food and drink spots, a bus station, and a jumbotron projecting either a TV show/movie/sports game. I love to go there when it's nice out, sit outside, and do some work while watching Friends in the background. Being able to sit outside with a friendly atmosphere and many options to eat if I get hungry is amazing! I find myself enjoying my time there a lot.
