Hi! I am Shriya. I am majoring in Computer Science and Data Science at Rutgers University- New Brunswick. As someone who moved across the world for college, I can assure you that Rutgers University is one of the best public schools in North America. About me: I am a very creative person, I love to dance, paint, write and cook and bake. I am Indian and love Bollywood and Indian music and dance. (Rutgers has so many Indian and South Asian clubs and organizations!) I am a big foodie, I love to travel to different places, explore their culture and food!

My experience at Rutgers has been nothing but extraordinary. I have made so many new friends and acquaintances. There is so much happening every single day on each campus, be it club meetings, parties, games, and there's literally something for everyone.

Tip for future students

Put yourself out there. No one cares or judges about what you're doing. Just do whatever you want to and make the most out of these 4 years at Rutgers

Favorite class

My favorite classes have to be all the math classes I have taken so far. I enjoy doing calculations and solving questions.

Career goals

Hopefully, I want to start working in my field.

I love to attend creative events happening on campus like painting, dance workshops and other South Asian events.

Favorite spot on campus

Definitely has to be The Yard @ College Avenue. It is such a vibrant spot with so many food joints for you to sit outside and enjoy in the sun. Moreover, The Yard is conveniently connected to the New Brunswick station and downtown, New Brunswick. This is the spot where you get to enjoy college life and city life.
