Describe your college experience
Like anyone, the difficult transition at first became much smoother as I met my best friends, got involved on campus, and this year it’s even better as I am taking classes I love. Overall, the experience has only gotten exponentially better.
Tip for future students
While it’s important to try new things, do underestimate the value of continuing extracurriculars or hobbies from your childhood that your rooted in, especially when your in a whole new environment and routine. For me, this looked like a continuation of dance practice through Dance Ensemble.
Favorite class
I really enjoy my existentialism class because it’s the type of subject matter I ponder about in my free time so it feels like a gift to be able to read about it in class. I also feel so privileged to have lively discussions every class about these vulnerable and mind opening issues.
Career goals
I hope to go to graduate school to become an elementary school teacher. I hope to gain hands-on experience in an internship working with kids as well.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I prefer to go out with my friends to dance and socialize. These are two of my favorite things to do, talking with others, and dancing. I love catching up with other students but also meeting new people.
High school or secondary school
Churchill High School
Favorite spot on campus
Union is my favorite spot on campus because like the name, it unites people all across the school. It serves as an all-purpose building, giving it a natural and communal sentiment.
Meeting point
Outside the front entrance to Vail Commons' on the Davidson College campus
