Psychology major who loves to get to know new people

Hi, my name is Emma! I am a Psychology major at BYU. Our campus is full of unique elements that make it such a special place, from commemorative statues to buildings with meaningful namesakes. I'm from San Diego, so the mountains, seasons, and snow are all new to me. Although I'm not always a fan of the cold, I've learned to love the ever-changing scenery of BYU's campus. The Harold B. Lee Library is one of my favorite places on campus. I love studying there while enjoying a gorgeous view of the campus and the mountains. Outside of school, I love painting, being outdoors, and working with children. I'm excited to share some of the details of BYU's campus that make it my home away from home!

Describe your college experience

I love the religion classes at my school. They are very interesting to anyone who enjoys philosophy or studying religion, even if you aren't religious or LDS.

Tip for future students

I would tell future students to not push themselves too far because it is easy to get overwhelmed in college, especially when juggling school, work, and extracariculars. I found myself constantly busy last semester when I was working every day, so I would recommend future students not to stretch themselves too thin.

Favorite class

My favorite class has been Astronomy because it pushed me to develop important study habits while teaching me about the stars. I found it very interesting, yet quite difficult.

Career goals

I hope to go to pursue a Master's degree and become a child therapist.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I love music and people, so my ideal free night would be going to a concert with my friends and meeting new people.

High school or secondary school

Torrey Pines High School

Favorite spot on campus

Campus is so beautiful when the trees are green. I like to study in the library and in the Wilkinson Building.

Meeting point
