Pre-dental student & outdoor enthusiast

Hi! I’m Wyatt, an Exercise Science student on the pre-dental track and an avid enjoyer of the outdoors. I spend my free time hiking, exploring, eating good food, making memories with friend. I love the balance of academics, friendships, and adventure that comes with being a student here. I’m excited to share that experience with you and give you a genuine look at what student life is like.

Describe your college experience

The transition into freshman year of college was hard but good. The classes were more rigorous than high school and the workload was intense. However, because I was able to choose my own schedule, it never felt overwhelming or impossible. I also had time to meet tons of people, go on some awesome hikes, and make core memories.

Tip for future students

In the first two weeks of school, it is super important to be the most social person you could ever be! Meet everyone, do cool stuff, have fun before classes get too crazy. I did this and I’m still running into people I met at the start of my freshman year.

Favorite class

Human anatomy! Anatomy was one of the hardest classes I have taken but it was so much fun! I met some amazing friends, experienced a nice blend of lab and lecture settings, and the professor was fantastic! Every day I am still benefiting from knowledge and relationships I gained from my anatomy class.

Career goals

I am currently applying to dental schools with hopes of practicing pediatric dentistry.

Ideal way to spend a free night

I would call up a couple of close friends to join me on an easy sunset hike or a bbq dinner up the canyon.

Favorite spot on campus

I love the benson building. I know it’s primarily the chemistry building, but the fishbowl is by far my favorite study spot! The labs are also neat and have advanced equipment. The lecture halls are big and you don’t feel like a sardine in the classes.
