Outgoing cell bio major who knows how to taken advantage of opportunities.
Hi! I’m Braden, I am a premed student studying cell biology and physiology. I am in my third year at BYU and I have been able to take advantage of many opportunities that they offer here. I love to play sports and BYU intramurals has some of the best opportunities for playing. I play basketball and ultimate frisbee. I have made lots of friends by doing this. I also have taken advantage of research opportunities on campus. I have been able to talk to professors and work closely with a few to better improve my research skills. The community in my research and classes has been great and I hav had fun making many friends along the way.

Describe your college experience
It has been great to be here at BYU. I have had great academic challenges and opportunities that have helped me grow. I have also been able to have a great social life going to events on and off campus. There is a lot to do in the area that makes it fun to go out alone or with friends to the canyons/mountains.
Tip for future students
DONT be afraid to talk with your professors over email and in person. They are very helpful and kind even though it can be intimidating at first.
Favorite class
Microbiology because the professor was very passionate about it and I found it interesting to see what I was learning in lecture under a microscope in lab.
Career goals
I want to attend medical school and become a physician.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a night is hanging out with my friends at a park or goin to a party with my friends. It doesn’t really matter to me as long as I am with friends.
High school or secondary school
Curtis Senior High School
Favorite spot on campus
The library’s 2nd floor in periodicals because you can study in peace.
Meeting point
Joseph F. Smith Building Courtyard on the Brigham Young University campus
