Math/Math Ed major wanting to give future Dawgs a look inside Daily Dawg Life.
My name is Robin Wetzels, people call me Pretzels, and I'm always somewhere on campus enjoying UGA weather and surroundings. When I first came to UGA, I didn't know where anything except for Reed Hall and Sanford Stadium was, and I had to walk/bike a lot of miles before I could remember what buildings were important to my schedule as a first-year student. My goal is to give you that knowledge beforehand, so you don't have to stress about where to find actually good study spots and other hidden gems on campus.

Describe your college experience
While this is my first time living on my own, I still feel well-adjusted, like I’ve been living here for years. UGA is very good at providing resources for so many unique things, and it helped me adjust to my first couple of weeks of college.
Tip for future students
Something I’ve told all my friends still in high school is that attendance still matters. I had a bunch of teachers throughout my life tell me the opposite, but it’s better for both you and your teacher to show up, because you end up getting better grades and you make a better connection with your classmates and teacher.
Favorite class
My First Year Odyssey Seminar is my favorite class so far, because I get to make connections while also feeling stress-free, since the class work isn’t overwhelming at all.
Career goals
Become a high school teacher and a Cross Country/Distance Track coach.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Walking, running, and talking with my girlfriend and my friend group in nearby parks.
High school or secondary school
West Forsyth High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite place on campus is Tate Student Center, because there are so many different events every week. I also love playing Billiards, so the pool table section is where I spend most of my time while in Tate.
Meeting point
UGA Arch on the University of Georgia campus
