Enthusiastic friend with knowledge of unique campus spots and resources!
Hi! My name is Emylee and I am from Seattle, Washington. I moved across the country here to Penn to explore and figure out a social and career path for myself. I love arts and crafts, sports and the gym, movies, music, books, and writing. I also love social events and exploring the city spaces or doing activities in nature. You can usually find me trying out a new activity or club, or taking walks in the sunlight for inspiration!

Describe your college experience
It took a bit for me to adjust to the college social scene and I have had a lot of great people to help me along the way. I am jumping into clubs and other activities more this year as last year I was just figuring things out.
Tip for future students
If possible, say no to things that you are uncomfortable with. It is better to get involved in activities that you believe will uplift you than to grow attached or dependent on something detrimental.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been Hindu Mythology because I truly knew nothing about the subject and was able to integrate knowledge of other studies into my learning for the class. I enjoy writing essays and finalizing statements about not only the content of cultural and historical literature but its secularly observable impact on societies.
Career goals
I hope to gain work experience and meet a lot of amazing people. I wish to travel and eventually join the FBI or CIA in order to help prevent human trafficking.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is to get some good food and explore the city, then hang out with my friends at home and watch a movie or something along those lines. Then I will go to sleep.
High school or secondary school
Salmon High School
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is the bookstore across the street from Gutmann because it is quiet and I get lost in my own world browsing through unique books, magazines, and records.
Meeting point
Outside the entrance to Class of 1920 Commons on the University of Pennsylvania campus
