A friendly face who loves her school and knows her way around campus!

My name is Daphne, an incoming sophomore at Michigan State. I'm currently studying Hospitality Business with a minor in Arts & Humanities. I have interests that scatter all over the board and MSU has allowed me to take classes that answer my curiosities beyond my major. In my free time I love to take walks around campus and see my friends. Having friends that stretch far and wide across campus, I've become familiar with it all! Being with my friends is my favorite thing, whether it be a movie night or going to grab some dinner downtown. In the rare times that I'm alone, you'll find me at the gym or at one of my many favorite study spots getting some work done. Michigan State has felt like home to me from the moment I stepped foot on campus! If there's anyway I can make an incoming or considering student fall in love with this school, I'd love to!

Describe your college experience

At Michigan State my days are full of laughter and hard work. As a dedicated student I ensured to attend all of my lectures. In my down time I would see friends across campus, go on walks, and enjoy campus with those I love and care for.

Tip for future students

Don't expect everything to be easy and perfect. College is a time to figure out who you are and what you care about. Embrace the changes that will occur in your life, even the scary ones. Even when things feel chaotic and at times impossible, everything will settle right where it's supposed to.

Favorite class

Physical Geography, I entered university as an environmental studies major and spent my first semester taking classes related to such. I found it fascinating to learn about the physical features of the earth and all its systems

Career goals

After graduation I hope to move out of state and work for the event planning sides of country clubs. Being able to enjoy the outdoors, meet new faces, and balance new challenges in a rewarding manner.

Ideal way to spend a free night

On a free night I love to be around people. Whether it's hanging out in a friends room and watching sports or a movie, or hitting the town and getting something to eat. I'm not too picky as to what I'm doing, as long as I'm with my friends and making the most of my college experience.

Favorite spot on campus

My favorite place on campus is the library. The views across from the silent study area face north campus, which is absolutely beautiful. Being able to plug in my headphones, get some work done, and watch the seasons change around Beaumont Tower has been some of my favorite moments at school.
