4th year at UCSD (psychology major)
Hello!!! I am Natalie and I study Developmental Psychology and American Sign Language at UCSD. As I head into my 4th year at UCSD, I can confidently say I am much more aware of resources and opportunities that are available that I wish I could’ve learned about sooner. I enjoy collecting sea shells at the beach, journaling, mindfulness, music, and any and all new adventures. I’d love to get to know all of you and show you why I love UCSD and every little experience that comes with it!

Describe your college experience
My first night was rough and it was a lot to handle at once but I immersed myself as much as possible and embraced uncomfortable experiences to turn it into the best years of my life.
Tip for future students
Try EVERYTHING. The more involved I would get the more opportunities and friendships that came my way. I don’t just mean joining new clubs, but taking advantage of every resource possible since it’s included in tuition anyways. My favorite resources that I have utilized are RISE/Rec classes, CAPS, and study abroad.
Favorite class
Behavioral Neuroscience because it opened my eyes to a different side of psychology I never thought I’d be interested in.
Career goals
I have a goal of working with children and/or families in medical social work or as a family support case manager.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Because days can be so busy and everyone has conflicting schedules, I like to spend my nights with my friends. I enjoy doing karaoke, trying different foods around San Diego, having game nights, watching live bands, and trying new activities.
High school or secondary school
Hemet High School
Favorite spot on campus
RIMAC activity rooms because that’s where I get to do my yoga and pilates classes that have made me feel so good both physically and mentally.
