Describe your college experience

UCSD has a completely different culture than the community college that I had spent so much time at. Additionally it is a quarter system compared to the semester at my old college making my first year fly by so fast. The university is so much more relaxed and easy but also more challenging in that it offers so many distractions. In terms of material, I feel that my community college was much more difficult but the lifestyle and culture at UCSD makes it so much more taxing and hard to stay on track. I love UCSD but it doesn't beat the effort that I give in school while I was studying at my community college.

Tip for future students

Just commits to college, try your best to have your studies be your sole focus in life. By doing this you learn how to bring studies into your hobbies and can eventually begin introducing other things (work, social life, etc...).

Favorite class

Organic Chemistry. I had an amazing professor that really taught me what it meant to learn and master a subject.

Career goals

I want to go to graduate school to research gene editing technologies and methods.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Hanging out with friends doing a bonfire at the beach, coming back home and sitting in one of their jacuzzis, watching a movie and then having a slumber party.

High school or secondary school

Meadowdale High School

Previous college

Edmonds College, Palomar College

Favorite spot on campus

Glider lounge, it is at the very north side of campus and is above a sports bar. It has a great very of lion tree arena and a eucalyptus forest on one side and an ocean view that is unbeatable at sunset on the other. It has no issue with wifi and plenty of very comfortable couches.
