Career-oriented pre-law who loves to make the most of D.C.!

Hi! I'm Clara, a senior (graduating in three) studying International Affairs with a concentration in Economics and International Business with a minor in Spanish. I'm from Bergen County, New Jersey, and I picked GW partly because I wanted to be in a city where the things I was studying were happening a few blocks away. I've spent the last three years interning, writing for the Undergraduate Law Review, and volunteering with the Newcomer Refugee Clinic. Outside of class you'll usually find me Peet's, and I'm always up for monumenting or taking the Metro to a new restaurant. I speak Arabic and Spanish, so if either is your first language, feel free to switch. Happy to show you around and answer anything about classes, internships, or what a normal week here really looks like. Come with questions!

Describe your college experience

My transition was generally smooth and I've enjoyed my experience at GWU. The academic options at GWU are great, I'm very happy with the location, and I've been able to thrive socially.

Tip for future students

College is short and you're young -- it's OK to reinvent yourself and change your mind!

Political Economy of the Middle East! Answered so many questions I didn't know I had. Helped form my world view. Was also a graduate class, so I was able to learn so much from my classmates too.
