Outgoing Pre-Vet Biology Major
Hi! I'm Emily, a 3rd year biology major at UGA. I am a major foodie, and know all of the best places to eat (and study at) around campus and Athens! I love football, tennis, gardening, and hanging out with my friends around campus and in clubs. I can't wait to meet you!

Describe your college experience
Coming from a small school, I was very scared of the transition, but everyone here is so accepting and fun, and there is always something to do! I found my people very quickly, and found a lot of groups and activities I was interested in within the first week. UGA has been such a great second home to me, and I'd love to be able to share my experience with people who are thinking about committing to the G!
Tip for future students
Be yourself! Don't be scared about being alone or having nothing to do—there's SUCH a diverse student body you're almost guaranteed to find your people :) And don't be scared to try something new! I found so many new things I was interested in because I put myself out there.
Favorite class
My favorite class was Organic Chemistry II! I had a great professor and made a lot of good friends in the class, which made it a fun experience overall. Even though the material was challenging at times, we helped each other get through it together.
Career goals
I'm hoping to go to vet school to become a small/mixed animal surgeon!
Ideal way to spend a free night
My favorite way to spend a free night is to load up all my friends into my car and go to the local Andy's. Doesn't get much better than great ice cream and great company

Favorite spot on campus
My favorite place on campus is the turtle pond! It's hidden between some of the science buildings, and is so peaceful-great for studying or relaxing with friends!
