I am a second year and a local who knows the best eating spots on and off campus
Hello everyone, welcome to UC San Diego! My name is Julienne, and I am a second year studying molecular cell biology. I was raised in San Diego, so feel free to ask questions about living not only on campus but the city. I am so excited to be your tour guide and share what I wish knew at your stage and what love about this campus. If you see me on campus, I will be taking pictures of friends, walking to class while listening to my music and drinking my matcha. I usually try to spend my time outside of my dorm and that led me to find the best study places, friend hangout spots and a place to be alone after an exhausting day. We also go over the colleges starting at Revelle and unforgettable moments that make our school so special.

Describe your college experience
My incoming freshman year I participated in a three week program that allowed me to familiarize myself with college life. Due to this program summer bridge, my freshman year was easy so I spent my time socializing and creating my own club.
Tip for future students
If you are living on campus do not get a random roommate but meet other students on social media and see if you are compatible. If you do stay off campus, socializing can be more challenging but I recommend to join clubs and speaking first to your classmates and be more open to social interactions.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been English because it was fun to write essays that challenged me to think critically; whether if was analyzing a book or my experiences.
Career goals
After college I will continue to get masters. After that I will work in a pharmaceutical company and go on yearly vacations around the world with my friends.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My free night is spent hanging out with my friends in spots around campus or our dorms. We usually pray games, catchup and eating out.
High school or secondary school
Crawford high
Favorite spot on campus
My favorite spot on campus is near the library and is on a high surface. It is my favorite because the walk there is surrounded by flowers and there is pretty snake pattern that guided you the spot. At the spot, most would miss because long tress shield it and inside there is a chair.
Meeting point
Triton Fountain on the University of California San Diego campus
