Hey guys! My name is Leah and I'm a rising 2nd-year at UCLA. I've played club volleyball for 4 years, piano for 9 years, and picked up guitar a year ago (which I'm also jamming out in my lounge). I'm a HUGE foodie so I loved exploring all the awesome eats the dining halls + Westwood had to offer (so many cute places I can recommend!) I'm also a movie fanatic, so in my free time I host little movie nights in my dorm (hmu if you want to exchange Letterboxds!) I'm also a fan of traveling, so last year I took the LA public transit for the first time to explore places like Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Venice, K-town, and more! On my tour I'm more than happy to share my top recommendations to go to (esp as a broke college kid LOL).

Describe your college experience

First year of UCLA was a roller coaster of emotions! Don't worry, good and bad. You're homesick but at the same time you're meeting so many new people every day. At the end I formed a friend group with my floormates and we play volleyball every week + bake brownies in the Hitchen for everyone's birthdays.

Tip for future students

Don't expect everything to be perfect. ALSO nobody knows what they're doing 100% of the time, so don't feel like you need to compete with everybody else

Life Sci 15 because Professor Phelan is the best teacher on campus!

Career goals

I want to TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL! I hope to secure a job somewhere on the East Coast (in marketing or finance) and live out my SATC dream!

Ideal way to spend a free night

Get eats with my friends somewhere in Sawtelle + sweat treat, then we'd either play guitar​/​board games​/​go exploring somewhere

Sunset Rec: my friends and I always go and swim + play beach volleyball. Nothing beats LA weather so sunset rec is always a nice place to go (and it was right next to my freshman dorm!)
