Ambitious Biology Major Who Can Introduce You to Amazing Connections
Hi! I'm Jenna, a third year Molecular and Cell Biology major at UCSD. I plan on attending medical school after my gap year, once finishing the MCAT and gaining more clinical experience! As someone who wasn't sure about attending UCSD throughout the application cycle, I couldn't be more grateful that I chose this campus. There is so much to offer, including organizations and connections that are open to all, regardless of your background or interests. Truly, UCSD is the place to be if you want to feel a deep connection to not only your education but the surrounding city as well. If you give me the opportunity to introduce you to the beauty of UCSD, I can assure you that you'll get a greater understanding of the campus and your feelings on it!

Describe your college experience
Planning to graduate early, I have had the most memorable and amazing past two years so far at UCSD. I have genuine passion for our campus, and believe that I can show all it has to offer to those who are on the fence or even completely unfamiliar with its charm.
Tip for future students
My major tip for incoming students is to not be afraid of putting yourself out there. There are so many organizations and clubs that are open and welcoming to students across campus. Being afraid only holds you back from meeting incredible people and opening up opportunities!
Favorite class
Evolution of Infectious Diseases (BIEB 152)- By far the most intriguing class due to the teaching style and the systems that we become familiar with that are very applicable to our everyday lives and viruses.
Career goals
I plan on taking a gap year, and entering medical school once taking the MCAT.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Going out to explore La Jolla, or spending time with friends at malls nearby! Going to local cafes and trying all the yummy matcha spots around town.
High school or secondary school
Carlsbad High School
Favorite spot on campus
Keeling Apartment Rooftop: Beautiful sunset views and an awesome spot to have a private healing moment.
Meeting point
