Describe your college experience

I had a dificult transition into The University of Michigan, mainly because I transfered from a small community college where social connections and extracurricular activities were easily accessible. Coming to this 4-year as a transfer and commuter felt isolating at the beginning but, after one year, I feel good about my place at UMich.

Tip for future students

Allow yourself time and grace to adjust, but also push yourself to seek out the numerous opportunities available to you.

Favorite class

As a biology major, I have enjoyed genetics and organic chemistry. And, I have also very much enjoyed classes in the humanities, such as The History of Israel/Palestine Through the Ages.

Career goals

I plan to get my master's degree in genetic counceling and work as such!

Ideal way to spend a free night

Going out dancing or spending time reading at home (both ends of the spectrum, I know)

High school or secondary school

I was actually homeschooled (don't let that scare you away)

Previous college

Monroe County Community College

Favorite spot on campus

The Kinesiology building or the library stacks in Hatcher

Meeting point

The Diag on the University of Michigan campus
