Third-year at The University of Washington Seattle Campus
Hey! I’m a Journalism and Political Science major heading into my second-year at UW! I’m involved in multiple student organizations on campus such as The Daily, UW’s student run newspaper; and Rainy Dawg Radio, UW’s student run radio station. I’m also a transfer student so I always love giving insight on the adjustment between university and community college, and resources to get connected when you’re not a traditional four year student! :)

Describe your college experience
I had a horrible first two quarters if I’m being honest, I had a really hard time making friends and didn’t find my people until spring quarter. But I’m hoping to help people learn from my mistakes! Now I love UW :)
Tip for future students
Don’t feel like you need to buy everything before you get to school in you’re living in the dorms. Your dinning dollars can be spent at The District Market, an on campus grocery store. After coming to school and wish I had saved my money and spend my dinning dollars on things like laundry detergent and cleaning supplies.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been Anthropology 305: Anthropology of the Body. The class explored the perception and treatment of the human body in society, and how the body is stigmatized and oppressed. The class was easy but the instructor really pushed for deeper understanding, it’s one of the few classes I’ve taken in college that successfully pushes for deeper critical analysis.
Career goals
In the perfect world I would love to get hired at The Seattle Times as a reporter and work in the music industry as a photographer on weekends!
Ideal way to spend a free night
I love to bring my picnic down to Fritz Hedges Waterway Park on West Campus and watch the planes coming and going from SeaTac airport overhead!

My favorite spot on campus by far is the outdoor seating area outside of By George, a cafe in the heart of campus!
