Insider Northeastern University Tour w/ Engineering and Fashion student

Hi! I'm Chloe, a Bioengineering student at Northeastern University with a minor in Material Science and Fashion. I love sharing what makes Northeastern special from the co-op program and hands-on research opportunities to the vibrant entrepreneurship scene I'm part of through Evolve, REV, and E-Club. When I'm not in the lab, you'll find me rock climbing, surfing, or designing my own clothes. I can't wait to show you around and answer any questions about student life here!

Describe your college experience

My transition to Northeastern was unique. I went from NUin in Greece into my spring semester on the Boston campus, then into a study abroad dialogue in Paris, so I was doing experiential learning from day one before I'd even settled into a normal semester. After Paris I came back to campus and dove into coursework and clubs, then headed off again for my co-op. Looking back, there's always been something happening, whether that's a new city, a new lab, or a new project, and that constant momentum has shaped how I've approached college: hands-on, curious, and always looking for the next opportunity to learn outside a traditional classroom.

Tip for future students

Keep trying new experiences, even ones that feel outside your comfort zone or major. Some of my favorite discoveries in bioengineering, fashion, and entrepreneurship came from saying yes to something unfamiliar.

Favorite class

It's a tie between Biomechanics and the fashion course I took while studying abroad in Paris. Biomechanics let me dig into the engineering side of the human body. The Paris course pushed me creatively in ways that reshaped how I think about design. Together they capture the two sides of what I love studying.

Career goals

I hope to work at the intersection of bioengineering, materials science, and design, whether that's through biotech innovation, sustainable materials, or building my own startup.
