Hi! My name is Kate Robertson, and I am a Sophomore at CU Boulder! I am in the College of Exploratory Studies, and I am currently working towards transferring to the Leeds School of Business. Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was very difficult for me, like most people! However, I found a home here at CU unlike any other. I was encouraged by my peers to come out of my shell and introduce myself to everyone, get involved, and by doing so, I become a version of myself that I am so proud of.

Tip for future students

Something that helped me would be to keep your door open during welcome week! Play music, invite friends over, do your homework all with the door open! I met a lot of my friends this way. Most importantly, be confident in yourself and who you are.

Favorite class

I loved my STEM in Education class. We were given the opportunity to craft lessons and teach them at a local Middle School! It gave me the opportunity to be creative in lesson cultivation, while also being given the chance to have hands on experience in a classroom! It was very special to be able to connect to the students and see their improvement through the semester.

Career goals

I hope to be an entrepreneur (or work with one). More specifically, I would love to start my own restaurant.

Ideal way to spend a free night

With friends, but I also love a night in to relax and spend time alone.
