Hey! I’m Frankie, an incoming junior at CU Boulder studying Communications with a Business minor. I’m a member of Sigma Nu fraternity and have a big interest in sales and entrepreneurship — I co-founded a media company that hit over 1 billion views online, and I currently intern in sales for a company in Chicago. Describe your college experience

My transition to college was smoother than I expected because I came in with a strong entrepreneurial background — I’d already co-founded a media company that hit over a billion views before I got here. Boulder’s been an awesome mix of academics, Greek life through Sigma Nu, and building real professional connections. I’ve landed internships in sales and business development, and the CU network has been huge for that.

Tip for future students

Don’t wait until junior year to start networking — get involved early, whether that’s Greek life, clubs, or just reaching out to people in fields you’re curious about. Boulder’s small enough that relationships actually matter here, and the people you meet early can open doors later.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Sport Entrepreneurship, where my team built AnchorPass, a startup pitch project from scratch — market research, TAM​/​SAM​/​SOM analysis, the whole deck. It was the first time I got to apply real sales and business development instinct to something built completely from the ground up, and it’s part of why I’m so drawn to entrepreneurship.

Career goals

I want to build a career in sales and entrepreneurship — I already have a cybersecurity sales internship lined up with Forescout for next summer, and long-term I’m interested in either growing my own ventures further or working somewhere I can keep building out those skills at a high level.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Honestly, a night out with my Sigma Nu brothers is hard to beat — we’ve got one of the best party scenes and house atmospheres you’ll find anywhere, and Boulder’s social scene in general is a huge part of why I love it here. When I do want a quieter night, cooking a solid Italian or Greek dinner for friends is my go-to.

High school or secondary school

Saint Ignatius College Prep, Chicago, Illinois (freshman year); completed remaining high school years and graduated through an online hockey school program while pursuing competitive AAA hockey.

Previous college

Austin Community College, Austin, Texas. Transferred to CU Boulder to pursue my Communications degree with a Business minor — the transition gave me a stronger foundation before diving into my major coursework at CU.
