Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was definitely a nerve-wracking, stressful experience marked by lots of new experiences. At the same time, I found the journey incredibly joyous and exciting. Northwestern is by no means an easy school, but the experiences I've had here and the people I've met have made this place feel like home.
Tip for future students
You have a lot of time at this school ahead of you, so don't stress too much! With that in mind, I've found it invaluable to have a plan/direction of what I want to accomplish here. There are so many opportunities that will pass you in the blink of an eye, so it never hurts to start planning early if there's something you know you want to be involved in, whether that be research, study abroad, a specific extracurricular, a major, or something else.
Favorite class
I really loved "Plato on Love and Philosophy," my first year writing seminar. I wasn't necessarily planning to take a philosophy class at Northwestern, but I found the content incredibly interesting and useful in developing my writing and argumentation. Because of the quarter system here, the sheer number of classes I take each year means that I've gotten to explore a lot of subjects that I otherwise might not have.
Career goals
I'm planning to pursue a career as a software engineer.
Ideal way to spend a free night
I'd grab dinner with some friends before a casual hang out, whether that's playing mahjong, watching a movie, or having a very long yap session.
