Summer tours from an Engineering & Political Science Student
Hi, I'm Olivia! I'm going into my fourth year (out of five) here at CU Boulder! I'm an out of state student from Minnesota. When I'm not studying, you can find me woodworking, crocheting, on facetime with my dog, or hiking.

Describe your college experience
My transition to engineering classes was a bit rough but the college has a ton of resources like learning assistants that got me through Physics 1 and CSCI 1300 (an intro to C++ course). I have continued to use my academic coaches and office hours to really nail my classes. I've made lifelong friends here! I've been on spring break trips, weekend getaways, and little adventures with my friends. I lived in Williams Village for two years in the dorms so if you have any questions about having to take the bus to main campus, experiences there, etc. I'm more than happy to share photos of my dorm rooms.
Tip for future students
I wish I knew about all of the campus resources as a freshman! All the events the school puts on for community building. Plus all the free stuff the school gives you. Say YES to everything you can! The first few weeks go to every event you can even if the event sounds cheesy, it's a great way to meet people even if they don't become your best friends.
Favorite class
I really enjoyed Circuits and Electronics (1&2), it combined Physics 1&2 and differential equations (MATLAB) so it was cool to apply all the information to labs and building circuits. Some other classes I have enjoyed; Anatomy & Physiology, Climate Engineering, Intro to Media Law, and Cold War to Counterculture History.
Career goals
I hope to go to law school and become a patent attorney! If you have any questions about the LSAT, I can answer those too!
Ideal way to spend a free night
Crafting and watching a movie. I'm a big fan of 90s action movies (really anything Harrison Ford).

Favorite spot on campus
I love the buff pool. At our recreation center we have a buffalo shaped pool. I am also a frequent visitor of the Latin Station (Burritos) in the C4C dining hall.
