Describe your college experience
Northwestern's student motto is "AND is in our DNA" and I definitely took that to heart my underclassman years. I tried a little bit of everything in college then found my passions by being selective with my time. I had some sort of transition every year (major/minor swaps, housing changes, friend group adjustments) so more than anything, I learned how to advocate for myself in a medium-large academic enviornment.
Tip for future students
Have no fear! Everyone is in the same boat, there's no need to be embarrassed to try a new sport, class or club from freshman-senior year. Even a seemingly "wrong" decision can lead you in the right direction.
Favorite class
Creative Drama. In this class, we learned how to teach theater to K-8th graders using generative play as a model. We got to go into the Evanston Public Schools and lead our lessons hands-on. This class solidified the path I would take for the rest of my college experience.
Career goals
Perform, travel, teach!
Ideal way to spend a free night
Just a 10 minute walk from northwestern's campus is the purple line which connects and leads you anywhere you want in the chicagoland area! I remember going to the NU Wrigley game every year and seeing a sea full of purple on the L.
