Describe your college experience
My time at UCSC has been short but eventful. It was a tough adjustment from community college but joining clubs and putting myself out of my comfort zone allowed me to make friends and learn more about myself since starting. Talking with professors and TAs helped me with questions I had about lectures and make connections with faculty.
Tip for future students
Some tips I have include reaching out to advisors early to figure out your class schedule and using different resources offered to you including the financial aid office, the career center, and the tutoring center. I also recommend going to your Professors' or TAs' office hours to learn more or get help with class work.
Favorite class
My favorite class has been THEA80P - Pixar - Story Matters. This class was offered online and I enjoyed it because I got to learn about a topic that I was really interested in and I remained engaged in the class every time. I also got to create a project that allowed me to expand my creativity.
Career goals
I hope to have a career in film and work on creating movies. I want to help make films that are enjoyable for people and carry important messages.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is to hang out with friends at the boardwalk or in downtown Santa Cruz.
