Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging. As a first-generation student, I had to learn how to balance academics, work, extracurricular activities, and personal responsibilities. One of the highlights of my college experience was studying abroad in England, where I had the opportunity to experience a new culture, meet people from different backgrounds, and grow independently. Over time, I built a strong support system, became involved on campus, and gained experiences that helped me grow both academically and personally. Looking back, UD provided me with opportunities to explore my interests, travel internationally, prepare for graduate school, and make lasting friendships.

Tip for future students

Get involved early and don't be afraid to step outside your comfort zone. Some of my best college experiences came from saying yes to new opportunities, including studying abroad. College goes by quickly, so take advantage of clubs, events, travel opportunities, and the resources available to you.

Favorite class

My favorite class was Human Physiology because it connected biological concepts to real-world health and medicine. It challenged me to think critically and strengthened my interest in anatomy and healthcare.

Career goals

I plan to continue my education in anatomy and pursue a healthcare-related career. I'm passionate about helping others and excited to continue learning and growing within the medical field.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Grabbing dinner with friends, exploring local spots around Newark, going for a walk, watching a good movie, or relaxing with a book after a busy week.
