Hey everyone, my name is Alex and by day I am a business management major with a leadership studies minor, and by night, I am out on the field playing around with my friends, and every day I am living my best life on this stunning campus that I cannot wait to show you! As a rising sophomore set to graduate in December 2027, I can tell you first hand college ins't always perfect - yes bad roommates are real - but between leadership programs, clubs and sports, and the friendships I never saw coming, the campus has a way of making you feel right at home.

Describe your college experience

I've always been pretty independent so my transition to college was honestly easier than I expected. With that being said, everyone has their hardships - a had a bad roommate experience that grew me and the room I transferred to ended up being some of my best friends. I am involved through leadership opportunities and flag football. I have enjoyed the growth I have experienced over the last year and I look forward to continuing to find ways to get involved on campus!

Tip for future students

Don't put so much pressure on finding friends right away. The people you meet and hang out with first semester likely won't be your forever people. Those people may come later in the year or even not until Sophomore year, and that is okay! Freshman year is all about growing yourself and becoming the independent young adult you are made to be.

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has probably been my Speech for Business class. We did a lot of exercises that really helped to become more comfortable with the class and overall helped with my public speaking. Some things may seem silly, but the professors know what they are doing and everything may have a purpose, even if you don't see it in the moment.

Career goals

I hope to work in the Human Resources department in a hospital, emergency services, or corporate setting.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is to go throw the football, go to the barn to help out, or play pickleball or tennis with friends
