Describe your college experience

Transitioning from Massachusetts to Tampa was a big change, but it helped me become more independent and confident. Since arriving at UTampa in 2023, I have gotten involved through internships, intramural sports, student organizations, and various events throughout the year. This has allowed me to build meaningful relationships and gain professional connections and experiences! My time in Tampa has helped me grow both personally and professionally, while creating memories that will last a lifetime!

Tip for future students

My tip for future students is to get involved as early as possible. Most students are from out of state, so everyone is in the same boat. Joining those clubs and attending campus events are the best ways to introduce yourself to new people. Some of my best experiences came from stepping outside my comfort zone and taking advantage of the things that UTampa has to offer!

Favorite class

My favorite class so far has been the sport marketing​/​fundraising class that I took during my junior year. The course focused on marketing, branding, and social media, which align closely with my career interests. I enjoyed working on real-world projects and learning useful skills that I could apply to my internships and professional experiences.

Career goals

After graduation, I hope to work in the sports industry, specifically in sports marketing, partnerships, or fan engagement. My goal is to help organizations build strong connections with their fans while creating memorable experiences that grow the brand and community around a team or organization.

Ideal way to spend a free night

My ideal way to spend a free night is hanging out with friends, whether that's grabbing dinner around Tampa, watching a sporting event, or spending time by the water. I also enjoy exploring the city and taking advantage of everything Tampa has to offer, from local events to new restaurants. It's a great way to relax, have fun, and make the most of the college experience.
