Hello! I am Reyn Smith. I am proud NYU violet who loves this community, school and neighborhood. I work as a student leader for NYU and pride myself in my knowledge about all schools/ majors at NYU. I especially have information on Gallatin and Tisch! I work in event management in the west village at Bedford Studio. As a proud California kid I am passionate about telling freshman about my experience adapting to NYC. I love to rock climb, drink coffee and thrift shop!

Describe your college experience
I have had an amazing experience at NYU. Learning to thrive in NYC is a difficult challenge, I did this through finding green spaces, extracurriculars and adapting to the seasons. My three years at NYU have been a whirlwind of excitement.
Tip for future students
Become a regular at a restaurant, cafe or deli. Know your neighborhood! Don’t just be a transplant. If you become a part of the community you will feel much more settled at NYU.
Favorite class
Queer Cinema. This class offered an incredible insight into filmmaking through an experimental lens.
Career goals
I hope to start an Artist collective that supports young creatives in whatever production needs they may need to be supported in.

Reyn was absolutely phenomenal. I couldn't have asked for a better tour of NYU, and it was clear from the very beginning that he is genuinely passionate about the university. We had the opportunity to visit several residence halls as well as the different schools, and every one of our questions was answered thoroughly. I came prepared with countless questions about programs, courses, housing, campus life, and more, and Reyn answered every single one with patience, thoughtfulness, and care. Every aspect of the tour was detailed, well organized, and intentional. It was an incredibly informative and enjoyable experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering attending NYU.
