Third-Year in College of Arts & Sciences - UVA and Local knowledge
I am a third-year student who is well-versed in UVA's resources, history, and organizations. I am involved with oratory, the Cavalier Daily, student activism, and greater Charlottesville organizations. I love all things nature and am a huge nerd for maps, public transit, and writing.

Describe your college experience
My experience has been fairly easy, due to previous family experience with UVA I have been able to adjust to Charlottesville and navigate the system on my own.
Tip for future students
Be engaged with the city! Charlotteville residents and other Central Virginians love to see UVA students be help out in their found community and form connections with townies.
Favorite class
Curating Culture with Anthropology prof. Lise Dobrin, the class revolves around creating a real museum display representing non-western cultures. It's an incredible class for getting real world experience in ethically portraying cultures around the world and getting credited for an engaging educational display.
Career goals
I plan to go into Journalism and public history, particularly with an interest in working with small town news outlets or crafting opinion pieces. Alternatively, I would love to go into museum work and historic preservation.
Ideal way to spend a free night
Attending local live music, the scene is lively here year-round! UVA house shows and the small venues around Charlottesville are the best places to be and connect with like-minded people.
