Describe your college experience
I’ll say that I had a very good college experience so far. I’ve really enjoyed the classes I’ve taken and really admire the professors. I’ve also made a lot of great new friends just through being active on campus.
Tip for future students
My biggest advice I would give would be to know all the available student support services on campus. I think a lot of times students don’t know what’s available to them, so they suffer in silence. But there’s a lot of people and departments that are designed to help students succeed that aren’t used enough.
Favorite class
My favorite class I’ve taken so far would be “Environmental history of substance and extraction in Africa before the 1900s”. I think it’s the most interesting class I’ve taken because it really tries to get at the route of global disparity, by asking the and evaluating the question of why Africa is so under developed compared to the global North.
Career goals
I’m not too sure what I want to do in the future because there’s still so many subjects interested in. I’m not sure whether out focus on international relations, not science, or get involved in political science or education.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night would probably be going on a bike ride when it’s cool out while listening to music.
