Hi, My name is Ayaan
Hey! I'm a UC San Diego student studying Molecular and Cell Biology and pursuing a career in medicine. As someone involved in research and campus activities, I've learned a lot about navigating academics, finding opportunities, and making the most of college life. Whether you have questions about pre-med, research, housing, student life, or just what it's like to be a Triton, I'm happy to help and share my experience!

Describe your college experience
My transition to college has been a great learning experience. I quickly realized that college is different from high school—you have to take initiative to meet people and get involved. I've also learned how important it is to be responsible and manage my own schedule, balancing classes, research, and extracurriculars.
Tip for future students
My biggest advice is to put yourself out there and make the first move when meeting people. Plan your schedule carefully so you can balance your classes with activities and organizations you want to be involved in. It's up to you to make the most of your college experience, so take advantage of opportunities that interest you. Also, go to class regularly and check professor ratings when choosing classes—it can make a big difference in your experience.
Favorite class
Chem 6A I took it my fall quarter and I met my two closet friends in that class by chance and because of that it's my favorite.
Career goals
After college, I hope to attend medical school and become a pediatric doctor.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal way to spend a free night is going for a drive with friends, getting some good food, listening to music, and relaxing at the beach. It's a great way to unwind and enjoy San Diego outside of school.
