Describe your college experience

My transition to college was exciting but also challenging because I had to adjust to a new level of independence, responsibility, and academic expectations while being 1300 miles away from home. Over time, I found my place by getting involved on campus, meeting new people, and learning how to balance academics with getting the full college experience. My experience so far has helped me become more confident, open-minded, and comfortable stepping outside my comfort zone. Now, I feel connected to the BC community and excited to share my experience with prospective students and families.

Tip for future students

One tip I would give future students is to get involved early, try to do everything! You never know what may stick and find things you may never have thought you would do. I wish I had known that you do not have to have everything figured out right away. Finding your place takes time, and to take it at your own pace.

Favorite class

Victimology has been one of my favorite classes at Boston College because it gave me the opportunity to study crime, trauma, and the experiences of victims in a deeper and more human way. Professor Ann Burgess is highly respected for her work in victimology and forensic nursing, which made the class even more meaningful. I enjoyed learning from someone with real-world expertise and hearing how the course material connects to actual cases, psychology, and the justice system. It was different from my business classes, but it challenged me to think critically about people, harm, and society.

Career goals

My career goal is to pursue the CPA track and build a career in accounting and finance. I am interested in developing a strong technical foundation through accounting, auditing, and financial analysis, while also learning how businesses make strategic decisions. Long term, I hope to use my CPA background to become a trusted financial professional who can help organizations stay accurate, organized, and forward-thinking.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Ideal free night would be playing volleyball at the rec center, getting ready for dinner with friends, going out then coming back home to relax.

Great tour! Jennifer was Super nice and flexible. We were only in town one day and no scheduled campus tours available. This was a great way to see the campus and connect with a student! We did a one hour tour. Thought it was the perfect amount of time.
