Describe your college experience

I have had a roller coaster of a college experience. Coming in with 2 years of college living under my belt made me more aware of how immature most college students, especially freshmen, act. But it also made me appreciate the youth that you feel in your college years. Freshman year, I spent the fall semester making friends with upperclassmen through the Rugby Team and was able to gain a lifelong mentor who recommended I join the Air Force ROTC Program. There, I learned what it means to be a leader and how I should lead other people. When I am not focusing on my studies or ROTC, I have a work-study job through the school that allows me to make an income while focusing on my studies. Last semester (Spring 26), I had the opportunity to travel abroad to the Mediterranean, where I was able to visit 7 countries and over 10 cities.

Tip for future students

First, pick your friends wisely. Expand beyond those in your major, and it'll give you a more diverse perspective on the college experience. Second, never tell yourself you can't do something just because you see other people doing it better. Lastly, college is about learning who you want to be in life. There are many lessons you will learn easily, like when you have to leave your dorm to make it to class on time. Others you will have to learn the hard way, but no matter what, every experience you have will shape who walks across the stage when you graduate. And above all else, do things that excite you.

Favorite class

I have always gravitated towards physical education courses because I like that I can get credit for working out. So one of my absolute favorites would be Swim, as every class taught me something new about how my body works, and I was always challenged to overcome mental barriers. More academically focused, my favorite course would be the Culture and Poverty class taught at the School of Architecture. It allowed me to discuss how language more directly affects the lived experience. It was also one of my favorites because it was more of a seminar-style class than a lecture.

Career goals

After graduating from USC, I will commission into the United States Air Force and have about 10 weeks of training before I begin my service commitment as a Civil Engineering Officer. I plan on retiring from the Air Force after 20 years of service. Once I leave, I plan to become a general contractor and apply my learned experiences to the

Ideal way to spend a free night

Due to my jam-packed schedule, if my friends don't have plans involving me, I mainly spend my nights decompressing. I like to watch nostalgic movies from my childhood with a bowl of popcorn or catch up on reading a book I haven't touched in a while.
