Describe your college experience
I absolutely love being a student ay USC! At first it was a big adjustment balancing academic work with the social activities and events going on at USC. With time and the resources USC offers I have been able to find my balance.
Tip for future students
I would say future students should feel encouraged to try new things and be open to new opportunities! USC is big on social life, I found myself meeting so many new people from all over the world all the time! I would also say be comfortable going to things alone because you want to, and you'll meet new people and get to experience more! I would also say know that USC is very social and the campus always has some event, experience, or show going on, so be prepared to find the balance between that and academics.
Favorite class
I have many favorites, yet one that stands out to me was America, The frontier, and the New West. This was a class that filled a General Education requirement. The professor was amazing and created an engaging course The class explored the idea of frontiers, and some ways we explored this was through analyzing some films, video games, and through group projects!
Career goals
I plan to keep working in the music industry, specifically in the live event space. This looks like helping to plan concerts, tours, and festivals. I am interested in marketing, design, and promotion of live events.
Ideal way to spend a free night
At USC some of the ways I like to spend a free night is to go to a show, whether that be a comedy or improv, concert, dance or theatre show, all on campus. And then I would like to get together with friends.
High school or secondary school
San Ramon Valley High School
Previous college
Diablo Valley College, my transfer was pretty smooth. I took as many transferable courses as I could. I was there during covid, so classes were mostly online, so it was a big adjustment to be at such a big school with so much more activities happening on campus!
