Hi! I’m Ashley, a student at Georgia Tech and a FASET orientation leader. I give tours to incoming freshmen, transfer students, and families, so I’m super familiar with campus, class registration, and what college life is actually like here. I love helping people feel more confident about starting college, especially if you're nervous or don’t know what to expect :)

Describe your college experience

Transitioning to college was honestly overwhelming at first, especially figuring out classes, schedules, and balancing everything. But becoming a FASET leader helped me learn everything about campus really quickly, and now I help other students go through the same process. I’ve met so many different people and gotten involved on campus, and I’ve learned how to manage independence, academics, and social life all at once.

Tip for future students

Don’t stress about having everything figured out before you start. Most people come in confused about classes, majors, and even how college works and that’s completely normal. Ask questions, talk to people, and take advantage of orientation because it actually helps way more than you think.

Favorite class

Psychology I like how it connects to real life and helps you understand people better, not just memorize information.

Career goals

I’m currently exploring different career paths depending on my academic direction. If I perform well on the LSAT, I’m interested in pursuing a career in law. If not, I plan to switch into business and work toward becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Alongside that, I’m also passionate about content creation and working with brands, so I hope to continue growing that as a long-term opportunity as well.

Ideal way to spend a free night

Honestly either going out to eat with friends, trying new food spots, or just staying in watching shows and relaxing after a long week.
