Describe your college experience
My college experience has been amazing. I've had the opportunity to meet people from all over the country and world. I've molded and shaped into a completely different person than when I first set foot at Virginia Tech. I've grown in ways I never would imagined. I've got to try new things; fail; learn; and choose the path I want to live as I continue to stumble through the world. Nonetheless, it's been a great four years.
Tip for future students
I would say push yourself outside of your comfort zone! For example, I tried out from the Virginia Tech Cheer Team which I didn't make; however, I went on to become Vice President of African Student Association where I found my family for life! So I say try whatever you want; just do it! Do it scared! Do it alone! You never know what doors will open for you!
Favorite class
Abnormal Psychology! It has been so interesting to learn about the human mind and its role in mental disorders. The class also serves as a reminder that you have not idea what people are dealing with so it is important to treat everyone with kindness!
Career goals
I hope to become a physician! My speciality of interest in Psychiatry and I would love to travel the world in the meantime
Ideal way to spend a free night
I would prefer to go out with some friends! Or sometimes I prefer a night in with a face mask and a book!
