Describe your college experience
Transitioning to college was both exciting and challenging, but getting involved on campus helped me quickly find my community and feel at home. Through leadership roles and student organizations, I’ve been able to meet amazing people, grow my confidence, and develop skills both inside and outside the classroom. My experience so far has been incredibly rewarding, and I’ve loved taking advantage of opportunities that have helped me grow personally and professionally while making lasting connections.
Tip for future students
Don’t be afraid to get involved early, even if it feels outside your comfort zone — joining clubs and organizations is one of the best ways to meet people and build your community. Take advantage of campus resources and ask questions, because everyone is here to support your success. Most importantly, give yourself time to adjust and explore different opportunities; college is a time to learn not just academically, but also about yourself and what you’re passionate about.
Favorite class
My favorite class so far has been UWP 104B: Intro to Legal Writing. I really enjoyed it because it gave me a hands-on introduction to the skills lawyers use every day, like crafting clear, persuasive arguments and analyzing complex legal issues. What stood out most was the emphasis on structured writing and attention to detail, which helped me think critically about how language shapes outcomes. I also appreciated the feedback process—being able to revise my work based on detailed critiques really improved my writing and strengthened my confidence. This class solidified my interest in pursuing law and gave me foundational skills I know I’ll use in internships and beyond.
Career goals
After college, I will be attending the University of Idaho for law school and pursue a career as a sports agent. I’m especially interested in representing athletes and helping them navigate contracts, endorsements, and career decisions. Combining my legal training with my passion for sports will allow me to advocate for athletes while making a meaningful impact on their professional journeys.
Ideal way to spend a free night
My ideal free night usually includes spending time with friends, whether that’s grabbing dinner, exploring local spots, or unwinding after a busy week. I also love going line dancing — it’s such a fun way to relax, meet new people, and enjoy the energy of the community. It’s the perfect balance of social time and stress relief after classes and activities!
